The National Infantry Museum and Soldier Center opened in June of 2009 with one mission: to honor Soldiers, both past and present. This world-class facility, standing right outside the gates of the Fort Benning Maneuver Center of Excellence, is owned and operated by the National Infantry Foundation, a privately-funded 509(a)1 non-profit organization.

Volunteer Appreciation Ceremony & Cookbook Unveiling | 21 November 2011
Last week, we hosted our most recent Volunteer Appreciation Ceremony, honoring our longest-serving volunteers who have dedicated themselves to the mission of the National Infantry Museum: honoring Soldiers past, present and future.
Our friends at WRBL have posted a great article about our first volunteer to reach over 2,000 hours of service, Mr. Joe Anzano! That night, we also unveiled the official National Infantry Foundation cookbook, which contains recipes submitted from all over the globe (see more photos here).
