The National Infantry Museum and Soldier Center opened in June of 2009 with one mission: to honor Soldiers, both past and present.
This world-class facility, standing right outside the gates of the Fort Benning Maneuver Center of Excellence, is owned and operated by the National Infantry Foundation, a privately-funded 509(a)1 non-profit organization.
The idea of a daily blog post to show the progress of the NIM SIM Combat Simulators did not go as planned. After a week of long days and nights the install team has completed setting up the simulators, now we are waiting on a few necessary parts to come in and be installed and putting the finishing touches on the room and we will be open. Stay tuned for pictures and maybe a video or two of the simulators and our opening date, hopefully mid July.
